“Courey is my passion and life”

Having worked alongside amazing people in all departments, he knows firsthand how the organization’s goals and mission inspire each employee every day. This creates a memorable customer experience and empowers George Courey Inc. to build on its 112 year legacy.

With a background in International Business and New Markets, and experience in marketing, sociology and human resources, Robert creates positive outcomes with his integrated approach to business. He is passionate about sustainability and environmental initiatives and believes that Canada and the United States must lead the way through fully domestic circular economical solutions that equally benefit businesses and society at large.

Robert believes that business strategy must go beyond the underworkings of product, price, place, and people. In an industry (textiles) marred by a reputation for generating some of the most devastating effects on the environment, he sees the upsides of shifting towards exclusively producing and distributing reusable textiles. George Courey Inc. has chosen to integrate biological and technical materials into a circular economy that hinges on supplying only reusable textiles. Robert wishes to use this business model with local and international partners in the healthcare and hospitality industries. With George Courey Inc. ‘s core values of environmental consciousness at the forefront, Robert believes forcing a ban through policies against disposable textiles will have a long-lasting impact.

Robert sees the RTC as the platform to connect with practitioners and drive the message across to policymakers and the public at large. Creating an impactful message to initiate change requires a network of like-minded contributors working together.
